    August 14

Razor - Qshave (Futur clone) (6)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Semogue 1305
    Post - Alum

Time to break out the Semogue 1305 I bought last week. I've seen a lot of them over the past several years and Fuzzy @wchnu preached it, so there you go. I've always liked the 620, and looked at the 1305 and SOC, but this makes my second official Semogue in the den. Night two on the Qshave wide open with a Voskod. Arko for the win and to help break in the Semogue. I'm using it right out of its box. Which, as it turns out, was a bit of a problem. It's been a long time since I've broken in a new boar and I definitely did not account for its newness and compactness when I loaded it. It looked nice and ready to go but I only got one pass out of the brush before running out of lather. I had to reload it again for the second pass, which was all that was required for a perfect finish with the razor and blade. I can tell, though, that I like how the brush feels both on my face and in my hand so I think it will be a good one. I reloaded it after the shave and it is spending the night wrapped and soaked in the goodness that is Arko. I'll check it out again tomorrow night to see how it's coming along.

Hope you made it through the middle of the week in good shape! I can almost smell the weekend! Or......wait....I put my deodorant on today - yeah, it's the weekend!

  5. Thank you, Danny!
That's the truth, Jim. Being an engineer, I measure everything (if 16ths of an inch are good, 32nds are better) and am always ready to bring out the trusty laser level. I like to hang everything 60" on center. I don't eyeball anything. That sorta drives my Bride nuts...sorta. :scared011: :shocked029: She's actually a very patient person...a definite prerequisite for being Mrs. Wristwatchb.
