The R41 head (Jaws) just made it in. I cannot wait to try it out on the Weber Bulldog.

Rehydrating my soap caused it to swell and fill the gap that was in the container nicely. It may be a sort of maintenance thing with Oleo to use it more frequent so that it doesn't dry out. Who knows, this tub might have been sitting on the shelf a while before I bought it and this was only my second use of the soap.

Glad that took care of it.
I know I have a soap that loosened up in the tub but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was. I'll come across it eventually.

I tried to be an equal opportunity abuser by using 'youze guys' and 'y'all' in the same post.

I'm originally from a southern state that the south won't acknowledge and the north doesn't want.

In my travel days I frequently wore blue and gray. When I explained reasoning to a great customer I had from the last Capitol of the Confederacy, he informed me in that gentlemanly southern drawl that he was confident both sides would shoot.

Thanks Clint....this thing looks a little scary and fun at the same time. I just hope this next shave is rewarded with a cookie and not a couple of bandaids. ;)

Thanks Terry! I was going to drop the Slim in my trade pile. In the past I'd buy these, clean them up, and get em into other shavers dens. Now I'm reconsidering. It's not a beautiful piece with a bit of brass showing, but none of my gear is shelf sitters and I've seen the better side of this model.

Could be like DE blades I've found my lathering skill. That and avoiding newbie attempts at soap making from flea markets - all my soaps perform well. Gotta have the slick, residual slip helps, lanolin and/or glycerin for post shave feel are the norm. The next hurdle I'm crossing is getting these qualities in scents I want. You are Enabling well, Sir. Gotta go google up some Oleo.
So is getting it wet good or bad? Better use warm water! :happy102:

Joe the barber is good guy who does love to tell stories. I am glad that I was able to reconnect with him after many years. The good thing is that his son's barber shop is less than 10 min from my house.

I was thinking of that Seinfeld episode while choosing my wording.
