    Nothing new under the sun? I've not traveled to Italy but seeing a documentary type cooking show about the subject - American pizza is different from the food sold in the old country. Original style is very simple with yeast raised flat bread, red sauce, basil leaves and slices of cheese. I've enjoyed the thin cracker like crust at my local Cici's pizza because I imagine it's similar.
    I've eaten it, but these days I prefer more toppings & less bread. Growing up in the Burb's of Chicago mom & dad took us to Shakey's Pizza quite often. They did a decent thick Chicago style.
    Well, there you go Terry. Don't buy sardines - try the herring! Or for pizza I prefer anchovies. My local pizza place quit stocking the 'chovies. I had a talk with the manage about it. Now I BYOF (bring my own fish). They have been very accommodating.
    Huh, I'll be looking for that Joe! Here in Louisiana we have plenty of water but it's flowed down hill from other places.
    Joe, you didn't enjoy the Awful Waffle? They do the best hashbrowns. Scatterd smothered, covered, double order, please. Two eggs over medium, Bacon not too crispy.
