While I was out of the woods, I stopped at an antiques store, found this for $5. Never seeing one of these....so.... of course I had to get it. It's a Travalong portable razor, made by the Pak Co. Cleveland, Ohio. It doesn't have the box or leather case, but that won't affect the shave any. With some cleaning up when I'm back home, we'll see how well it mows the lawn, in the morning. tp
Good morning everyone. Well shaving with my ( sardine can ) Travalong razor this morning was surprisingly nice. It's a milder razor than it looks like. I only used one Feather blade because changing blades was dificult, until I figured out how to remove the handle. 3 passes on the face and head the need today to get smooth and clean. Tomorrow, I'll change the blade mid shave and probably like the shave more. Figuring out how to place your fingers, then it's smooth sailing. A light razor, so it can bounce if the blade gets worn, but with proper finger placement, no problem. No cap to ride, but again, with proper finger placement, it runs like any other razor. Just a mild manner contraption of a razor. all Enjoy tp Sorry I put this in the wrong forum. Will fix it when I get off the road. tp
Today's haul, a boxed Schick G with instruction sheet. And from @Jrdelgado, a case to re-line for his English Tech for traveling, cigars by Drew Estate and Acid and a bag of rifle brass. Second pic after cleaning up the crud from the Schick G razor, a nice amber handle........... Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
