Thank you Gary. It was the first use of Copalli and it is a unique scent for sure. You definitely get a burnt resinlike fragrance but the aftershave has a sweetness and manliness to it. The wife liked the end fragrance and I enjoy it more as it settles in. I will spend the week with it so I will know more after a few days. Always enjoy the 1912. What a great shaver.

No, didn't go and grow a beard or buy an electric...still shooting pics, just haven't made enough time for posting, but did wish to share some recent mail call action, including my first vintage and a upcycled vintage project by Rare Breed Shaving.

The razor is a great shaver and I've become a huge fan of the GEM format. While I use my Blackland Sabre L2 P most, blades tend to go 10 pulls no need to cork on the first shave but you can if you wish, and like DE blades, you can find GEMs at the chain drug stores while traveling.

Razor - Gillette Red Tip Superspeed circa 1955-1960 (Re-plated in Satin-Nickel Finish and re-painted tip in Radiant Red color by Razor Emporium.)
    Blade - [IMG] *Fresh Blade
Shave Brush - Ever-Ready 1960's vintage (Polished and re-knotted with a 26mm Ubersoft II knot from Envyshave by Razor Emporium.)
Shave Stand by by Desire Metal Works
Suds - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Original" Cream (Made in India) *I dried it out for months into a hard soap.
Aftershave - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Deodorant - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Fragrance - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic" Cologne

My neck is seeming to come along well with my recovery protocol after Saturday's brutal shave with the slant. I think I will be able to pull off at least a 1-pass with the grain on Sunday.

***EDIT - 1 pass + clean up. Nice shave. There is a tad of left over irritation on the spot near the Adam's Apple that normally gives me trouble that was irritated from yesterday's shave. I went easy on the blade and minimized the number of buffs/strokes to only what was necessary. It's a solid shave despite going very easy.

First shave with the RR GC .84 this evening. Close and comfortable shave. I’m very impressed with this razor.

    Travel Saturday SOTN

At a hotel tonight and will be back home tomorrow. Thought I'd get one last travel shave in on the trip. I had to include an action photo of my new DE travel case that @jimjo1031 made for me. It made a round trip from PA to Alabama this week and performed swimmingly. Maybe I'll take the SE (Gem / ER) case with a corresponding vintage SE razor next trip .

Regardless, the Karve is a keeper for my den. I may be unloading a few vintage babies to make some room. Night all .

    Josh
