    SOTD:
Decided to switch out the Jagen David for my 1948 aristocrat with the barber pole handle because i havent used this razor much this year. This was my second razor i ever bought and since then the collection has grown exponentially, and this razor got a lot of use last year.

The voshkod blade is at its peak at shave 3, definitely a very good blade. I wouldn't say i prefer them over the 7 o clock sharp edges as im a huge fan of sharp blades, but theyre still very very good blades nonetheless. I think in the next month or so I'll try out a lion de blade again and do a comparison.

Razor: Gillette aristocrat 1948 (barber pole handle)
    Blade: voshkod (3)
    Brush: omega 49
    Soap: arko shave stick
    Aftershave balm: prep[IMG]

one of my favorite british gillettes.i use the 4th gen version a little more as they are easier to find in good shape..mine is really nice and i want to keep it that way..wouldn't want to have to replace it at current prices..a special occasion shaver..

It’s really all about the handle when you compare the US and CA 102’s. It has been hypothesized that the solid CA handles were possibly a precursor to the original Ball End handle. CA produced 2 known handles that bridge between the fixed-guard, tube handle Single Ring and the Hollow Ball End handle.
That handle pretty much rocks! All of the ABC handles are all awesome, weighing between 31g-39g.
The original hollow Ball End handle weighs in at ~28g. The Ferrule is 7g, the Ball End is 14g, and the tube is 7g.

The CA guard usually has a serial number that begins with:
PC xxxxx or only a number before the Made in Canada stamp and Diamond stamp appear on the comb.
