Thanks, Terry! A few of us got in on a group buy for the Rex on another forum. I'm happy to have it. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Good Monday morning to all. Needed a close shave to last the day. Pulled out my Razorock Blackhawk and a Feather blade. What can I say, it did the job well. Was Monday a Menthol day?? Sure was! After the AS I splashed a few drops of homemade Menthol drops in the palms of my hands. Slothered it round the mug and gord,,,whew..... that will make your eyes water. But the feel was a cold blast that was great on a Monday. Clears out the sinuses too. Nice, cool, still good after 45 minutes. I'm ready for the race. A few weepers on the neck, forgot this razor runs smooth but oh, so, close cutting. 2 passes on the head and face, nothing more needed for a great job. All Enjoy
SOTD August 19, 2019 Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: GEM PTFE Razor: GEM G-Bar Brush: JR #60 synthetic Soap: Williams Mug Soap (mentholated) Post: Witch hazel, TSD Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave I used the GDCarrington process for mentholating this older puck of Williams. Did that on Saturday and it cured enough to shave with this morning. It made a pretty cold soap. Unfortunately there was little scent left on the puck and the soap scent is straight menthol. Good performance from the Williams (which was made anywhere from 1989 to 1999 due to the bar code on the box). Two easy passes with the G-Bar and a nice shave was in place. Enjoy your day!
