  5. Adjustable Arko August!!

    August 19

    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Semogue 1305
    Post - Alum

Monday is in the books, thankfully, and an extremely stressful day is down with it. Time to get a nice zen shave on to let the tensions go. Second day with the Slim and Voskhod so the stage is set well for stress relief there. Arko and the Semogue 1305 on its second run. I've been keeping the brush in Arko to help it break in. The first use it barely held enough soap for the first pass. Well, it has improved. Two passes were easily done, though a third pass involved some more loading. Clearly this brush needs some break in time to reach its full potential. No worries. I got that third lather going and finished all three passes with smooth sailing. Plus, it gave me time to let the day settle out as I worked that third lather back up. I'll take it! Tuesday is up next! Make it a great one.

The "Russian rocket" is still on my shelf and for good reason. The Rapira blade has alot of shaves under its belt and still sharp. Dads brush is breaking in well and coming into its own. Been thinking of making a few more brushes with handmade knots in them.

Relaxing and refreshing shave with this setup. The Autostrop is a mechanical wonder and a darn fine shaver . The Proraso is the first soap I used when I got into wetshaving and still a favorite.
Making good progress on the house. We may make the deadline . Fingers crossed.
    Have a great day gents!

  7. Very nice Neal. That 1305 is on my want list. Funny how a good shave can relax you or just change your day up in a good way. This is what life is all about my friend.
