  1. Good point. I don't have any of the Gillette TTO OCs, I was only thinking of the 3 pieces I have (Ball end OT, Single Ring OT, New Improved, NEW SC, NEW LC, Goodwill). I still want an OC 'Crat, though!

  6. Thank you, Joseph! It is hard to argue with the performance of Arko, even if one doesn't like the scent.

  10. Just a quick update....

Monday's shave was a timeless classic- F2 Fatboy and a Spoiler. I was sporting some heavy growth so I bumped the setting from my usual '5' to '6' with excellent results.

Today's was a more of a modern take- the MingShi Unscrew 3000S, an inexpensive modern Adjustable notable for being mild, paired with a Spoiler. Given the mildness, I decided to go with a setting of '6' on this one as well, resulting in just the slightest bit of blade feel. The result was a very pleasant DFS+ with no issues.
  11. Sorry about the weeper but I love the prototype. Looking forward to the Timeless OC shave. Declan is enjoying that brownie and he is growing fast. I did not know they put shoulder straps in highchairs now. All my kids had was a seat belt that never got latched.

  14. Nice couple of shaves John! I would probably pickup a 3000s if it weren't so... ugly. Just my opinion of course.

  17. No argument, it is definitely aesthetically challenged. I wish I understood why the best Chinese razors have such odd aesthetics.

  18. Great shave, Joseph! I agree about blooming Williams to get a nice creamy lather. It boils down to my motto, "It is your shave, do it your way!" Williams is a thirsty soap and it needs a plenty of water to properly work.
