  1. My H.S. band performed rain or shine. Man, it was weird doing those TTR's(to the rear)in mud puddles.

  2. Love the Karve handle on the Gem Danny. You really did a good job on the Gem.

  3. Most do the same her in the south as well. Our problem is its Thunderstorm season which means lighting. In our area if a lighting strike happens they have to postpone outside sports and activities until its safe to continue.

  4. Right-thunderstorms would be an issue....I guess they'd postpone games here too, but I don't recall any thunderstorms when I was doing marches or parades.

  5. Lightning is the only weather condition that affects work at the refinery. At ten miles out all work at elevation stops, at five miles it's take shelter.

  6. Thanks, James...now I understand why the seller only showed a picture of the "Tulip" side of the handle.

  11. I finally polished off my Henri et Victoria Lime yesterday. It worked fine but nothing about it made me particularly want to rebuy - I have better soaps that cost half as much. The soft, smooth consistency makes it not great for anything except bowl lathering, which I hate doing. The scent was nice (lime + warm undertones), but again doesn't stand out over the other dirty citrus type scents I have.

Used Purely Skinful Fougere Mysterieuse this morning (while I decided which sample to do next), plus I have the matching balm now. Razor was grandpa's super adjustable (6/7), blade was an Astra SS, brush was plissoft.

I think I will move on Herc Mail Call next as I had never heard of that artisan before I got sent a sample.
  12. Congrats on finishing the soap. :happy096:

  13. In a previous post, I talked about having difficulty shaving my neck. Not down the middle of it, that's ok, but each side has, I suppose, ingrown hairs. Is this a situation where "across(or against)the grain" helps?

  17. The neck is always a challenge. My hair grows south to north on most of my neck, so shaving from the bottom up is actually with the grain. I do two passes normally but both of the passes on my neck are with the grain. It's a sensitive area and I avoid ATG or XTG down there.
  18. lovely shave and pic sir..
