Zanol could probably use a cleaning any suggestions.
Looked for a specific hone section na.
Would you clean these first or just use them?

It has been talked about, several times, but, I don't have the links. I do remember the Swaty Barber Hones are the few that can be lapped, with Wet/Dry sandpaper. I would go that route if using soapy water will not work, or if it isn't flat.

You can lap a FS. I have one that is lapped and is able to keep a killer edge on my str8’s indefinitely (or so). I lapped mine on 300grit wet/dry(if I remember correctly) and finished on a much higher grit. It’s smooth as glass and works well for me.

It is flat I have some 350 wet dry that will try.
Do you use this stone dry for straights?

A little water and a little lather. That’s the old school way, and a few strokes is all it takes.
