Just my rambling thoughts. I have to be truthful and say that when I joined up with the 30DC back in December of last year I was not signing up this. Let me explain. I thought I was getting involved with just a shaving group. The 30DC centers around shaving but it is much more than that. If you look a little deeper, we all seem to be dealing with issues and problems that is called life. Some of us are dealing with aging parents, divorce, health issues, raising kids, kids in college, moving, new jobs, keeping a business going, working to much and the list goes on and on and on. I think what I am trying to say is that shaving is the “glue” that keeps these friendships together and helps us get through these issues. This group is a lot bigger than just shaving. I am thankful for that and I appreciate each and everyone of you. O.K....................enough of the mushy stuff……………. back to shaving.
I envy Declan. He can eat like that, and everybody thinks it's cute. I eat like that and get yelled at. Is life fair? I think not. I could probably get a decent meal just from the gleanings on and around his high chair. Very cool, Andrew. He's a sweet little guy. Keep these awesome photos of your boys coming! I always look forward to them. Today's photo is extra special. Oh yeah, you shaved with Arko. Maybe Declan is just covering his nose.
Aug 28 Good afternoon guys! Straight razor shave #101 C-Mon 5/8 Square Point Omega Pro 49 Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS I just received this today, so I wanted to try it out. I purchased it on EBay for less than 30 dollars from a seller who stated it was shave ready. I have to say it was shave ready and then some. I was not expecting this razor to be wicked sharp. Lol! Music City Suds Lavender scent was decent and it wasn't overpowering. I now know what lavender scent is like because I have soaps with lavender undertones that I previously did not identify as lavender. It is a masculine scent. The soap is very easy to lather and does give a nice cushion with adequate slickness. I did my normal passes and touchups and got a great BBS shave! Topped the shave with the matching AS. The lavender scent was stronger so that I can better aporeciate it. Finally, I have bought great razors on EBay, but this razor is something else. I am looking forward to shave with its sister. Now, would I buy this soap again? I am not convinced that I would. I bought 2 sets of the SS and AS on sale, but I probably not pay the normal price. That's not to say, it doesn't perform adequately, but the scent doesn't give me the wow factor. I have to use these products more before I really give a final determination because I know soaps can grow on you, for example, Stirling Glastonbury. Have a great rest of the day, fellas!
Painter's drop cloth, shop vac, squeegee, and water hose. Mission accomplished. My niece took her girls to a restaurant where you can throw peanut shells on the floor. The first time there, her youngest ordered chicken wings. She ate the first one, and then threw the bones over the table and onto the floor. It was a teaching moment, but we all got a good laugh out of it.
Thanks Andrew! Right now I am pinching myself because I just shaved with one of them and it was Alabama Awesome on steroids!
2 replies for you: 1)-TSD itself is "just a shaving group"(with all the categories you see including 30DC). But I'm glad for 30DC, as you are. 2)-let me get this straight, you've been shaving all day and took a break to type your thoughts and now you're continuing the shave? (Teasing.....I'm known to be silly in here).
She and I have a special bond, Danny. I got her to say her first word. It was "stop!" True story. Everybody in the family still laughs about it. On her first birthday, she was too neat eating her birthday cake. I stepped in, as any responsible great uncle would do, and rubbed a big piece of cake with icing on top of her head. I couldn't tell if her mom and grand mom thought it was funny. I did. She and her older sister are sweet girls. Loved the times when they were young, and I could keep them screaming and running through the house. I did the same thing to their mom and her sister, their aunt. I hope to live long enough to torture another couple of generations of kids in the family.
You 4 are gonna read a about a lot of Clubman shaves this fall&winter from this writer. 3 words of advice. 1. LIVE 2. WITH 3 IT. )
I might do better than that..once I finish the shaving cream, I might try one of the "new" items"....the 16 oz. tub of "brushless" shaving cream(but I do love the can)
Well said, my blubbering and slobbering friend. You speak the truth. Well, at least you did in this particular post.
