B6688B77-97BF-4483-BBAB-FA47E372BDAA.jpeg Just wanted to have a place for those of us who own Karve Razors to discuss their use and to share stories or pictures. I just purchased the new brass Karve Gladius handle along with a new top plate to allow me to have a razor out here in the ‘burbs and downtown in our apartment. The new handle is shiny and new. I hadn’t realized how much my original Karve had developed a patina until the new handle and top cap arrived. Here they are! Both are 3.5” handles. I like a heavy razor.

    Enjoy your shaves,

    Jeff

My Karve handle on a Gem Junior Parade head that was bead blasted. Once the head gets a little patina it will match up nice. This is a sweet shaving set up.

I have the B, C and E bar plates and a B and C Open Comb which according to the Karve docs is equivalent to a D bar plate. They’re great razors!

    Enjoy your shaves,

    Jeff

Jeff, Do you find your OC to be smoother than the SB plates? Or do you find the SB plates to be smoother than the OC plate?

I actually prefer my C-OC plate! I get a closer shave. I don’t know if it’s smoother, but it’s definitely closer!

    Enjoy your shaves,

Karves use DE blades. They’re great razors!
