Beautiful shave this morning, its not often that i use creams, but its definitely time i use them more. This boots cool shave cream is super slick stuff and matches soaps in every way, the only downside i can think of is that you need to use quite a lot of it to get enough lather for three passes, but its also quite cheap so thats really not a big deal at all.

Razor: gillette aristocrat 1948 barber pole
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
    Blade: voshkod (8)
    Cream: boots cool shave cream

Thanks Gary. To me, it shaves like early Super Speeds or Milords. Slightly more aggressive than later Super Speeds.

    SOTD Thursday
When you think of it, Thursday is an odd kind of day. It's not one of the weekend days, it's not the beginning of the week, nor is it the end of the week. I put it on par with Tuesday. Just another day of the week. The only thing that distinguishes Thursday is it is another day when I get to do a nice shave. And it was a nice shave. Such a privilege.

A little bit of a harsh shave, slight sting from the aftershave. I'm hoping the new blade smooths out next time.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Proraso Sandalwood
    Jayaruh #144
    Gillette Double Ring
    Gillette Silver Blue
    CWR
    Florida Water

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 Brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Double Ring Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

After the mensur I inflicted myself yesterday, decided to go for something mild...
And picked the wrong AS for the picture: probably, color coded labels were too expensive...

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Wilkinson day 5
    Bundubeard Kameelperd’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Osage Rub AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

This was exactly the same type of overwhelmingly frigid shave I had this past Monday with the Stirling Glacial Spearmint soap. My man Jaco is also a soap genius and this Kameelperd is proof positive - that delightful coffee/peppermint scent, that rich, thick, merengue-type lather as well as that super intense menthol sensation along with such soothing postshave care are everything I love about this soap. A good massage with the Prep and a couple of splashes of the Osage Rub aka the Rubby Dubby Doo left me almost shivering from the cold. I was enjoying that bone chilling lather so much that I opted for three passes and did that ever give me an A1 BBS shave!
