August 29th Canadian NEW LC w PermaSharp (3) Stirling Finest Fan/Maple handle Stirling Gentleman SS Thayers CL Unconditional Surrender AS 3rd day with the LC and I think I'll roll with it until the end of the month. Whipped up the usual, quality Stirling lather with one my favourite scents (and before a comment comes- no, Andrew @Linuxguile, I am not travelling and yes SWMBO was at home). 3 easy passes to a very nice result. I could use this razor everyday, but of course I won't... Finishing with this CL splash is always a good thing, especially paired with the Gentleman. A smooth start to the day for sure. Have a great day all!
Well, that razor is cutting, so it is no toy, Terry. Sounds like a winner. Great pic as always, and I do hope you get some time off from those shifts this weekend, Jim. You have amassed quite the Soap Commander collection, Perry. Great stuff for sure...and a great pic. High praise indeed on the soap, Clint! Is that a new brush? Love the Palmolive! I get sucked in everytime I hear it is about to be discontinued...I guess that is why I have 4 or 5 sticks in the drawer... Great combo again, Gary. Do you get stuff from England sent by a relative/friend there, or do you use Connaughts/another vendor?
Great photo, Jason!! Your posts about Gentleman make me want to try it. I had a sample of the splash and used it once. SWMBO was not a fan....at all. Maybe I could get away with using the soap like you do! Thank you, Jason! I only have four tubs at this point - Drive, Vision, Influence, and Fortitude. But I guess that's enough soap for about two years of shaving.
Well, the laugh's on me.....I was so excited at the opportunity to get my Weekend Rodeo AS&SS order into Central Texas Soaps that I completely forgot to add the Clean Shave hand* soap to the order. Ahhh, that's fine, I still have a lot of time with the current Stoylins,, then I'll get 2 CS hand* soaps. $5 .00 "a throw"**...not bad(course Stoylin goes for about the same). *-it's a bath soap, but I use those just for hand-washing. **-a term my Dad loved to use, meaning "this is how much it costs".
Thanks, Jason. Right now it's a wait and see about the weekend. Normally I work four tens so today would be my Friday. They screwed up a couple of weeks ago. They had their Thursday afternoon meetings to decide our weekend and it was decided weekend work would be mandatory. They all went home to start their weekends and forgot to pass that information on to us. They were scrambling Friday morning when no one was here. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Oh, Mr. @BaylorGator ......boy do I have some entertainment for you!!! MSN.Com has a video about a guy in the Ice Cream business who juggles Ice Cream scoops after he digs them out. Now that CANT' be YOU.......or can it????????
August Focus Stirling Glastonbury~~Simpson 3 "Chubby" Extra Super~~Dovo 91 I have been putting this off, but as they say in German: "Die Frist ist um". (Look that up in your Funk & Wagnall's.) The Dovo 91 is ready for the stones. Question is, do I have the stones to hone the Dovo? TBD... Once again, I lathered up the Glastonbury. The uber-large CH3 knot, requires that I hold it at the base of the knot for expedient loading. The knot splay on this brush is humongous. There's also a teensy, weensy hint of scritch, which is not uncommon in Manchurian hair. Barely noticeable, especially when using paintbrush strokes. To our newest Jedi Knight, @Trigger I have to say, that the scent of the soap lasted throughout the entire shave. The Dovo's edge, while still sharp, has lost that certain...Je ne sais pas..."keenness". I was still able to achieve a very good shave, but it was not up to my standards. Big, fat splash of the AS and I am off to the races.
