  2. Thank you Jason. I am really impressed with the WSP Formula T soaps. My only real complaint is the size of the container but getting messy is not too bad. I plan to send Asha a list of WSP soaps and solid cologne for Christmas, Birthday and Father's Day.

  3. Excellent post Jason. You did a much better job than I did. I am not a very good teacher or explainer at all.

  4. My problem with blooming soap is that it is in effect a modification of the base product. You bloom a soap and then you (well nature/time) un-blooms it. In doing so, you contantly modify the base. It becomes less than it was for the next time. Accelerated product degradation is a common issue with bloomers. To use your cream analogy, you don't stuff the cream back into the tube once you have lathered it up, do you? You don't scrape excess soap of the kisser and put it back on the shave stick do you?
Blooming is product modification. A properly made product shouldn't require voodoo or fettling to work.

    Least that's my thoughts anyway.
  5. I love the Cars!!!! You Might Think and My Best Friend's Girlfriend are my top two favs, but what a band.

Wonderful start to the day. Breakfast at a place with great low carb options and a walk at a nearby park on a beautiful morning. Well I walked, Mrs. jluc is still bothered to her broken toe. A park bench under a tree suited her just fine.

  10. I have used canned shaving creams, but not those in a tub, so I can't give an informed opinion.

  11. Good idea! They make some of the Asylum stuff as well I believe.
Not true, I understand your explanatory posts very well.

  12. They do make some of the Asylum stuff. If I get to visit Asha, I want to go by their store to do scent tests on a few items.

Teaching or training has always been a weak spot for me. Kind of funny since I taught handgun marksmanship in the Army National Guard. Of course that was a captive audience. :D

    Straight Razor Shave #102
    C-Mon HF 11/16 Square Pt
    Semogue OC Super Badger
Stirling Coconut Lime SS and AS
    Nivea Men's PSB
I have had this Semogue Brush for awhile and frankly, I didn't use it too much because I didn't like the way it lathered. Today, this brush gave me a nice, easy, quality lather that I have never had with it. I guess it finally got broken in, lol! This C-Mon HF was the 2nd in the set that I recently purchased and it is slightly wider than my 5/8 C-Mon Brooklyn. So, first time shaving with this razor and the edge was sharper than the C-Mon Brooklyn. I had a 46 hr stubble and this razor was a powerhouse! I could have stopped with my WTG first pass for a DFS+, but I don't like to feel stubble on my neck and jawline. Second pass [ATG] gave me an IBSS++. The final 1/2 pass gave me a very comfortable, BBS shave with no irritation and 1 itsy bitsy, weeper on moustache area that disappeared with the styptic pen. Hey, it happens when you do a fool's pass. I did something different than my normal routine and added Nivea Men's ASB to add moisture to my skin. It really felt good and made my skin looking so refreshed. Finally, topped of this magnificent shave with the matching aftershave. I thoroughly enjoyed this shave. This is my last shave for this month. As I stated earlier in this thread, it is Safety September month and we need to watch out for schoolchildren as we drive to work. In honor of the month, I will only use safety razors. It means that I will not touch my Dovo shavette or my straight razors. Pray for me that I don't have any withdrawal symptoms. Lol! I have been primarily using my safeties for headshaving and want to use them for faceshaving. Have a great afternoon and evening, fellas! 20190830_123701.jpg 20190830_123701.jpg
