Oh boy

lol.
If i bloom the soap, it is to me an admittance that the soap is unusable without cheating and that just grates against my sensibilities tbh. However, not blooming the soap and plodding on will only be mostly pointless and just tick me off. The 30 day rule is about learning and focus. I have submitted to it but the learning has stopped. Only a fool continues down a path with no end.
Hmm.
Lets think: Which bit is giving me the trouble with this set up?
Brush: Nope, its great although not really stiff enough for hard pucks and hasn't the loft for them either.
Razor: Nope, Its a industry std and whilst i find it uber-mild, it is itself capable of great shaves.
Blades: Nope, they are my favorite blades. Perhaps they don't sit well with the razor but that is another story.
Soap: Yep. Hard to load, finicky, Sensitive to water, prone to poor slickness and heavy cushion.
So lets switch this out to focus on the soap. Is it savable or should i bin it off? I can do another focus on the razor. In fact, the more i think about this, the more this focus really is better suited to just one item or paring. (soap-brush or Razor-blade).
I am going to change the set up. ( i lasted 11 shaves lol). Lets see if i can use the soap.
I will switch out the razor to something i know works great (The YUMA). I can do another focus on the Merkur at a later date. I have learned that it needs a sharp blade for me so its been worthwhile for that. I will keep the blades as they are a great pairing with the Yuma.
I shall change out the brush. I have a Omega 10019 which should be a good match for the hard puck and will suit my preference for face lathering. I'll use that for the life of a new blade and then switch to my Yaqi Synth and see how that fairs. That should get me to shave 20. If i manage to get the soap behaving, i have 10 shaves left to go back to the Merkur.
I think
