    I would ABSOLUTELY wear a seersucker robe. However, a Manhattan at 5:30am, albeit a wonderful drink, is probably not the way to start the work day. :happy102:

    I enjoy the small variety of products and gear that I have learned to use.

    I like the environment of continuous improvement for myself. I've believe water to be far more damaging to blades, razors and brushes than soap so I never bloom razors or blades.

    I read an article once that indicated water to be the greatest item enhancing the ability of a razor to cut hair and use it as such.

    I learned so much from the 30DC philosophy in learning wetshaving, but refuse to carry anything to extreme. With the water at my house, I could probably make any soap work with any brush. I have not, and won't ever use the Wednesday soap only because of the controversy over whether one is "using it right".

    You seem to have enough shaving experience that bondage to a soap ritual for 30 days is just silly.

    I missed most of the recent blooming rigamaroll, but I've been in it b4. Just don't do it, and figure out another way or toss the offending products.

    I applied an extended 30 Day (100 shaves) when I took up edge forward shaving devices. I was never concerned that a poor result was anything less than operator error. Never once did I question my consumables or their methods application.

    Glad you solved your soap problem. Boar brushes are very good at picking up soap. When I don't bloom, I only have the tips wet and pick up the soap and apply the pasty soap on the face. I add small increments of water until I get the lather that suits me.
