I posted this on another forums when originally got it but figured you guys might like it. My friend picked up two of these razors back in April one was near mint, just needed a little cleaning. It had a blank in it so it may have never been used. This one also had a blank in it but looks like it got squished and has a finger print that looks like dried on factory greas.
So I decided to give this razor a new lease on life. To start I completely disassembled it. Then straightened it out. Polished it up and reasonabled it. Then discovered it was more complicated than I thought. And I didn't think it would be simple. There was play in the guard bar and the blade blank could side around a bit when pressure was applied. So I redisassembled it tweaked it a bit reassembled found another issue redisassembled etc. Etc. ECT. There are a lot of angles that have to line up properly for everything to work properly. I lost track of how many times I had to disassemble and tweak things. I'm pretty persistent.
Great job you did, I remember a few months back your effort into the repair and back to service of that razor. The Schick i2 injector model you do not see it very often up for sale on the bay because they are good razors. I recieved one in a lot of razors and when i'm done testing the 1924 shovel head it will have to come out for some shaving enjoyment for the month of SEptemper. Have some great shaves!
And I believe it paid off. There is no play in the guard bar or blade and everything looks very straight, and it shaves great.
Yep this is the same razor. I figured some of the guys here that aren't on the other site might like to see the transformation. I still can't believe it's the same razor. It shaves amazing, especially with the Proline B20 in it.
Menthol Monday's Shave Cold Water Rinse TSD Cool Lime Jayaruh #30RS TNNSER 3D CVS CS CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The TSD Cool Lime Shave Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #30RS Brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER 3D razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Schick C1, Schick Proline B-20, Shave 2 Much better shave when using a more steep angle, razor is on par with a C2 when used at the same shave angle. It is much more mild but at the same time much more efficient at cutting hair, only trouble spot is under the jawline. I will try working in a J-hook tomorrow either with this razor or the C2.
