He's lobbying to get his CT changed to " Sousing Stankser" or "SS" for an even shorter version. But as they say....Once a bloomer ...always a bloomer .
Oh really? I may wait it out and pick one up later . Always have someone who will use it and not like it then sell it .
Actually I did not invite 'the Blue Ming' to this shave. I did use a lot of water. Worked it up puffy then kept adding water until it was a little sloshy. Can't really do that with all soaps.
SEptember Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender~~Simpson Milk Churn~~Boker Red-Injun No. 101 This Red-Injun has spent some considerable time on the stones since yesterday. I reported that the results of the Japanese hone were less than desirable, indeed bad. Went back to the Norton 4K, did NOT tape the spine and performing slow-ish strokes, combining modified "x", straight and, what I would call straight, but with the blade canted at a 45˚ angle, continued through the 8-12 and 16K. Finished with 40 laps on the SRD 3" strop. Did the same to my other Boker blade. The CL Pure Lavender is one of those Beef Tallow soaps that start out extremely sticky. A copious amount of H2O is necessary to achieve a lather that will rinse easily from the steel. Using the Milk Churn, I created a very shiny and slick lather, which proved to be not only protective, but olfactory pleasing to boot. So did the re-honing make a difference Mos def© This time it didn't feel like I was removing skin with every stroke. I noticed that when I do an upward pass on my neck and chin, my angle was too steep. I was scraping more than I was slicing. So I paid particular attention to flatten the angle and I was able to clean up those areas with far less effort. I had enough lather for three passes, so that's what I did, resulting in a BBS- (I have decided to use that acronym to describe a straight shave, in which there is a small amount of remaining stubble on those troublesome spots on my neck) Thayer's Medicated followed by a "massaged-in" splash of the CL AS and a small dabbed on splash for a finish with a flourish.
Next time be careful to who you sell watches to Charlie! Especially when your West of the Pecos. A word of advice. Don't dis Miss Lily Langtry while your there. Just saying. Those guys look rough. tp
My lobby was was for a change to "One Dumb Puck" but it was rejected by the Queen even on a double dog dare (DDD). For what it is worth, I would never bloom the Wednesday soap..... ....... Matter of fact, I would never even use it. If I'm gonna go economy it'll be Col Conk Lime.
Hello all, good Monday morning. Early shave late post, all the grand kids here today. Used a razor that I can't remember the last time I used it, that just ain't right. So installed a new Personna GEM blade and went to work. The Stirling Barbershop, with a great sent and wonderful slickness, worked great. Not remembering this razor I thought it might be an efficient tool, uh no. Don't get me wrong, I got a close shave, but it took 3 passes to get there. Went 2 passed on the head for an acceptable day off doo. No issues and seeing it's Monday the cool AS was a great splash before the ASB. That cheap little Perfecto brush worked wonderful for 5 slotherings of lather. The bathroom will have barbershop sent all day long, nice. The razor blade seems to chatter a bit too. So I'll look into that later in the day. All Enjoy tp
I read that and seen it was rejected. I was only trying to give you another option with the "SS" moniker but I still think your current CT is a winner and suits you best.
