  2. Some time after I got married, had several children, and put the family in a Suburban - I got a motorcycle for my short ride to work. Don't seem to have an actual photo handy, but it was one of these.
82 Honda CM450.jpg I was aware of cafe racers. Even considered modifying it. Went to the HD shop and inquires about the headlight cowl. Everything was going fine until they asked which model Harley I was working on. The owner/operator lady of the shop flat out refused to sell me one of their parts to put on my bike. Last time I visited their place of business. The bike remained unaltered.
  3. Awesome report Joseph!
Nice gear there. Some stuff I haven't seen before.

Great idea. Great shave Perry! Enjoy your day.

    Very nice Gary! Brrrrrrr
  4. Thats funny. These days Harley chrome parts are made in China. Notice most new Harleys have plastic case covers and chrome is no longer standard but an added expense.
  5. Thanks, Patrick!

  10. That's my plan for a Blackbird and several other recent stainless DE. Let the early adopters take the retail hit and when they get bored and buy The Next Big Thing I'll scoop up a slightly used piece.
I haven't tried prehydrating that soap, but it makes a good preshave when left on and lathered over.
Isn't that how HD does it? They sell the basic bike with no chrome. Guy buys one, shows it off to his buddies who downgrade him for just being a stock bike. So he spend that much more buying identical parts in chrome to look cool? I've got nothing personal against HD, but given the choice of a running rice burner, or a HD in a bucket I know which way I've gone twice.
