And so begins another month. Hard to believe the summer has flown by so quickly. The fall is my favourite time of the year. Warm days, cool evenings, kids are back in school, and I notice the leave are starting to change colour. Wonderful day for a shave with a lavender shave cream and my reliable Schick.

BBS although some trimming was needed, what can i say, the Two Kings is Lathered even more beautiful as it is dry! What a scent, it reminds me a bit of the Monarch, i would put it in the same category for sure. If you like the Monarch and love the smell of Roses, this is one for you!
As i have no accompanying Aftershave or EdT (damn those no-alcohol oversees shipping rules) i opted for the light touches of Boss Bottled. Not a great match, we will seek further

La Toja Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor/WSP Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” Super Stainless blade still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Anucci Sport aftershave.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #30RS Brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Sheraton razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Rondavel soap was sent to me this past winter and it’s got a nice outdoorsy scent (nothing at all like marijuana!) and thick, rich, creamy lather which stays super stable the whole time. It’s a bit lacking however, in slickness and cushion as well as postshave care so I had to use quite a bit of the Fino balm to fix the dryness I experienced afterwards. It’s still a pretty decent soap otherwise. The Booster Mosswood aftershave is one of my top favorites, much to my wife’s chagrin - she always tells me I smell like an old barber. (I take that as a complement!) Two passes were enough to give me a hell of a nice BBS shave - so no complaints!
