I am so frustrated. I have been waiting for my Blackland Vector, but it was delayed by the storm. It was supposed to be here here yesterday, then today, but looks like it won't arrive until tomorrow, Saturday. Unfortunately, I'll be in NYC over the weekend, and won't get to use it until Monday at the earliest. Oh well, at least I'll be able to take the new AS-D2 for a spin tomorrow. AM. I usually have to shave every day, but yesterday I shaved with my new Vector with an AC Feather Super blade, and despite one knick, came away with an incredibly close shave. Comparable to one of my old Krona shaves, but a day later! Wow, I’m not going to have to shave today! I did learn in the meantime that the Feather Super that I used is if not the sharpest, one of the sharpest AC blades. Has that been anyone else’s experience? Enjoy your shaves, Jeff

About to join this group...black oxide Blackbird and polished Dart arriving later today. After reading this entire thread I’m stoked to see what these things can do for me.
Blackbird and Dart showed, I’ve been jonesing after the BB longer so that’s what I went with for today’s shave. For the record, my go to the last few months has been a Timeless .95SB. I stuck it on a 3” 16mm Maggard’s handle, as I like short fat heavy razors. That Timeless is a razor. The Blackbird is a scalpel. I shave daily, but I bought this razor Thursday and decided to wait until it showed to use it. Four days growth, wiped off my face in 1 WTG pass. I did an ATG pass for fun and to get used to the angle. I’ve always heard that if you’re shaving correctly, an AS won’t sting. I thought that was a myth. I have some weird growth in my jawline and always have to buff those areas, and depending on the day and the aftershave, it always stung a little or a lot. Finished the shave, chucked the splash on and only thing I felt was wet. I’m sort of amazed over here. SOTD included a Grizzly Bay brush with a TDR knot, Gillette Platinum, and some WSP Matterhorn Soap/splash, slice provided by the BB.
