Where's the SE's you may ask. Well Jim
@jluc threw a wrench in my SEptember plans by sending me his Timeless Bronze, with both the safety bar and open comb baseplates, to try out. I decided to start work the mild safety bar base plate. Wow is this thing smooth! This razor has hardly any blade feel and no real sense that the blade is cutting the whiskers but sure enough, after the shaving stroke they are gone. It's not the most efficient razor, it took a little bit of extra touch-up in a few places to get me mostly BBS but the shave was super comfortable! After one shave in really thinking about keeping my eyes open for one of these. Spotted the Gillette Winner blades on eBay a few weeks ago and for $8/100 decided to give them a go. They are a very smooth blade but not quite as sharp as say the 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless or any of the Russian Gillettes. They are probably in the same league as the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blades. Last but not least, iced Pineapple! Could there be a better way to to start if a month of Stirling?
Have a great day my friends!
