Excellent! Lap the unlabeled side on sandpaper on a flat surface to make sure it is dead flat and leave the labeled side in tact so you will always know it from another. I mark the grit on the box and end of the hone with a sharpie. Don’t want confusion as your collection grows.
Most of the time yes, really makes no difference to me, I can hone them either way the customer wants
