  5. Stirling SEptember!!!

    September 3

    Razor - Gem 1912
Blade - Gem Stainless PTFE Coated
    Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee
    Brush - Jayaruh #46 w/ Maggard Synth
    Post - Alum

After taking Monday off to let my face heal a bit more I moved on up the line to my Gem 1912. I'm taking my SE's in age order, which is why the Star went first. The 1912 is a wonderfully noisy and very effective razor that normally does an excellent job and tonight was no exception. I backed up and grabbed the Iced Coffee to get Menthol Monday in a day late and the JR46 did an exceptionally fine and incredibly easy job of producing that famous Stirling lather. That coffee scent with menthol - Yum! Three passes and the baby is in the house, no blood, no damage and the month is off and running much better now. I still need to grab some carbon blades. I'll do that tomorrow. Still, the Gem PTFE is a fine blade in itself. Smooth as silk. Have a great Wednesday!

  13. Well, it looks like a 1920 something.
It should be a close shaver, I have 2 that look kinda like that one. A 1919 and a 1920. They shave very close, very nice.
    I'm curious how it drives.
Thanks for giving it another life.
