    Well that's a fair point, but one i see as perhaps an outlier. Your's is the first comment i have read that connect the two. Most people just bloom because.
    My water has a hardness score of 0. I could probably lather it by itself it i tried lol.

    I have several Bay Rums and as I've said before I'm a Bay Rum junkie. I enjoy them all. If I were to reccomend "the one" it would be PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum. Wonderful stuff.

    Thank you, Andrew! The house is coming along, slowly but surely. The basement renovations are done and turned out great. We still need to paint some trim and ceilings and might just hire that out. There are a few boxes still left to unpack and things to organize. We had new stair treads put in going down to the basement and we need to stain those with a second coat and polyurethane them. Some little stuff overall but we really like the house and the neighborhood and the convenience of the location.

    I would humbly disagree with you on the first two points and say that is more of a personal preference.

    I agree, one doesn't ever really need to bloom a soap. But I find blooming helps you load more product in a shorter time which in turn results in a better lather. Brush choice is irrelevant in this regard. I can use any of my brushes with any of my soaps and get a great lather, it's just a matter of loading enough soap.

    Thank you Jason. I agree Lavender is not universally liked scent. For those that do this on is the bomb. I am really impressed with Mike's in shave stick form.
