  1. So the only one I have actual experience with both a soap and cream is Palmolive. And, I find the soap works as well, maybe better than the cream as it is a stick and for me is faster. My guess is that indeed the hydration is better on the creams, which why people think they may work better. It was actually a few comments made by @Primotenore that made me realize I wasn't properly hydrating soaps. I think a lot people don't realize what a properly hydrated lather really is. It took me over a year of wet shaving to figure this out.
  2. Excellent picture, Charlie!

    Proraso PS Red
    MWF SS
    WWB w/Zenith Boar
    Tanifuji 5/8 'Maxfli Gold' Straight
    Armani Code AS
    Armani Code EdT

Early morning shave, just getting to post. No image. :(

3 pass DFS+. Awesome shave this morning, even chased the baby w/buffing (@Primotenore straight style) for the lower right neck. Silly guy barely escaped. The Mitchell's Wool Fat coupled with the Zenith knot, had lather exploding within a few swirls even with the super hard DFW water. After overloading the brush, the Fat proved how much H20 it can handle. LOTS. Mounds of lather. Easy 3 pass not fuss shave with the Tanifuji 5/8 full hollow straight....it holds an edge very well, and is an extremely smooth shaver.

Followed it all with the other anniversary gift from wifey, the Armani Code AS. She went out of her way (literally) to hunt it down like a 90% off 10-minute sale at Sak's 5th Avenue. The AS matches up perfect with the same EdT she bought me a few years earlier.

Everyone's shave gear images and reports....incredibly awesome all the time!

Thanks everyone for the comments, always appreciated.

    Have a great evening!
