  2. Revision
    I like to teach the world to shave
    using little strokes
    Blooming soaps is not for all blokes
    but that is what I love

  4. Mr. Gillette, you should know the code! N4 is the last quarter of '67. Gillette stopped production of the Slim in '67. Technically, I own one of the youngest Slims.

  7. John, I think following Clint's suggestion to swirl the brush like you mean it will give you enough soap for 3 or more passes. There are some brushes that are lather hogs, so I squeeze the brush towards the tips to release the remnant lather. Also, it is no biggie to reload the brush during the shave. I have done it many times.

  9. I find the handle on the 1912 small also for my larger hand . Kinda have to hold it with my finger tips to maneuver it properly. Great shave btw!

    A Stirling SEptember

    Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: Superior Lather Catcher
    Brush: Poculi synthetic
    Soap: Stirling Blu
    Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Blu aftershave

    Easy shave this morning with this combo. I'm enjoying the scent of Stirling Blu and the performance is exceptional. Not much else to report.

    Have a great day!

  12. My apologies, Mr Gillette. My Slim is a 68. I mistyped and continued with the mistake. I was thinking of my brother's 67 blue Camaro SS when I was doing my shave review last night. I need to be hit with a wet brush! Lol!

  16. Terrific setup, Terry! I would agree with you on the handle of the shovel head.....too short and hard to grip.

  19. Do you use plain witch hazel or one of the scented types? I like it for touch ups sometimes and also for the after effects on the skin. I rarely post it or mention it in my sotd pics anymore but still use it .
