Mea culpa! Mea culpa! Mea culpa! I made an error! I better stick to my high school Chemistry knowledge. Lol!
Thank you, Joe! Right now I'm using plain witch hazel mixed with a mentholated version that came from the TSD Store. It's not scented much, maybe a little bit of a mint scent, but not much. I like it and it's part of my routine. Thank you, Jim! Thank you, Clint! This week has gone by quickly.
Yes, I think so. The handle is new. @Jayaruh made the handle. This is a Superior brand razor so I guess it's a GEM knock off.
I know you didn't ask me but I have several different witch hazel's. A few different Thayers and Stirlings along with PAA unscented with alcohol. I use it after my shaves and after I wash before bed.
September 5, 2019 O.R.E.N. with 2 Dot Plate Feather Pro 30 DC LE with Tuxedo La Toja Witch Hazel with Menthol Guerlain Vetiver EdT This week is going by very quickly. This is my first time using the La Toja shave stick since purchasing and using it during my recent trip to Barcelona. While the soap worked very well in Barcelona, it worked so much better here at home. I think my water here is softer which made the lather just explode. Three passes with touch ups and buffing my neck ended in a drama free BBS shave. The post shave feel of La Toja is fantastic. Even more so given what I paid for it. @brit I normally don't mention it but I use Thayer's unscented witch hazel with menthol added each morning. After the witch hazel I used the Guerlain Vetiver Edt leaving me clean shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday.
I sometimes use witchhazel when I have irritated my neck. It soothes and heals the irritation. I also use it for nicks, etc.
If folks stop posting - the only way you'll catch up. It's swimming upstream otherwise. Drinking from a fire-hose. Since cutting the cable I've developed a TV Series Binge style of viewing content. Takes preparation to do it right. Use the bathroom, fill your drink cup, barricade the door, comfy chair. Ready steady GO!
September 5 SOTD: Razor: Gem Damaskeene Blade: Gem Stainless Brush: Stirling Marble Lather: PdP 63 Aftershave: Old Spice Vintage It is my last day of work before I start my new job tomorrow, so I didn't make it to the gym again this morning. I did pull out this brush to use with my hardest soap. As a face latherer, this brush does not have enough backbone for me, but it does work when I use it. After a soak in the scuttle, I loaded up on the un-soused puck to get a nice paste going. I worked a nice lather up with just minimal bird nesting. Two passes later, I had a nice DFS. I finished with some vintage Old Spice to get ready for this hopefully short day. The picture is a post shave shot as I forgot to get it before. I hope everyone has a great day!
Great shave, Jim! No time off between jobs? I left my previous job after nineteen years for the one I have now. I at least took the weekend off between jobs.
