Mine had a custom set of Krinite scales by J.R. Rowe.

I knew it was rescaled because the original Herder 49's always had the Ace of Spades logo inlayed on the bone scale. Still, your razor is a beauty.

Golden Kikuboshi had its first shave today.

It was a Wedge ground razors turn today. This one was a complete restoration job, a while back. I had a nice 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. This is a well built razor, not often seen, by me, in wedge form. Wonderful Shave cream, that is some of the best I've tried. I like it better than MDC.

Razor- C-MON, by Carl Monkhouse. Ellicottville NY.
Brush- Wilkinson Sword, Boar hair.
Soap- "Kingsman" Bourbon scented. By The Art Of Shaving.
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice

This was my first Jwest and started my love for Jwest razors. She is a Takehana Feon 172 and consistently has one of the sharpest edges in my den.

7/8” near wedge Sheffield with a cool double thumb notch... heavy razor.

My opinion is that these normally look better than they shave, but this one surprised me. The Coticules did their job... very pleased.
