  3. Thanks Joe, for those who like old spice, I can see them liking this. Not my favorite scent but about the only one that's not to perfumy in this genre.
The soap does what Stirling is noted for, great lather and slickness.
    good stuff.

  4. The NO75 is gorgeous. You can pick up some of the nylon washers at the hardware store. A lot of folks use them on high polished razors to keep the baseplate pristine.

Up and moving way to early for a Saturday morning. I have to drive to Bryson City, NC for the HOA meeting this afternoon. At least it should be a pleasant 2.5 hour drive. The Speick cream performs really well. I find it easy to lather and slick which pretty much ticks my boxes. Three passes and touch ups ended with another drama free BBS shave. One more shave with the potato peeler and I will move onto another SE razor. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    A Stirling SEptember

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: PAL Injectomatic
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Stirling Piacenza
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Piacenza aftershave

Posting before the actual shave. Been a lazy morning that started too early since Wilson decided to get up at dawn. I got in late from the game last night so it's a groggy start. This shave and setup should be good.

We're going down to my hometown of Montevallo, Alabama today to go to the Tinglewood Festival. One of our dear friends is a major sponsor and we will help her out with some tasks and whatever she needs. Then we'll go over to my parents' house for a little football watching this afternoon. Should be a good day.

Enjoy your day and your shaves!

  9. Nice plan. Was your game last night a road game? Y'know, there's a, outdoor music/fine arts arena in western Massachusetts called Tanglewood :).

  10. The game was at home, Paul, but I didn't leave school until about 10:45. Then I'm wound up some and I can't go bed immediately, so it was midnight before I could sleep.

Yes, Tanglewood is incredibly famous in the music world. I'd love to go there and see the amphitheater and stage. Tinglewood is named after Tim Tingle, who is a famous and folksy wood carver in this area. He's created a lot of images in the trees and other parts of the city park in Montevallo. Here are a couple of examples:

  12. That "potato peeler" sure looks nice with that brush. I'm doing the drive thing too, 2 hours to the big city, 2 hours home. Same thing as yesterday's chores. I'm the chauffeur, getting my wife to here appointed tests. Got up at 4:30 to be here on time after dropping off the grandson. So yea, went to Starbucks, ordered a plain, run of the mill black coffee. They actually had it, and it's good n hot.
    Just like I like it.
    Good luck
    safe travels Clint
