Circa 1920-1926 Salamander "Our Wedge. This was the first razor I honed on a film stone combination resulting is a near shavette shave. Finished on 200k diamond pasted balsa, Illinois linen and horse hide. These razors are easy to find and usually sell in the $20 range. I recommend them as an addition to any vintage SR collector.

Frameback Friday, for me. I broke out a little used Japanese Frameback, that always give a great shave. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS.

Razor- Japanese "Yaichi". Nichiri Co. LTD. Swedish Steel. Special Made.
    Brush- Wilkinson Sword Boar
    Soap- ARKO Stick
Aftershave- Vintage Avon "Island Lime". Super Cycle Decanter.

5/8 Columbia Cutlery Extra Hollow Ground Worcester Mass

Was in the mood for some Vintage US Steel

The Columbia Cutlery delivered a near perfect shave .Was BBS in no time .I honed this bade up to 16K on Sharpton Glass and finished on an Escher . Edge was great .Love how this tight grain steel takes an edge .This is also the first razor I rescaled a few years back.

Wester Brothers 4/8, a shout our/thank you to @Steveclarkus for sending the Kapo, a fine shaving soap. Got as close to shavette as any SR I own. This is a J.R. Rowe restoration and a Steve Clark edge. I just maintain Steve's work with 200k diamond pasted balsa and an old Illinois #50.

    Colgate Mug Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #30RS
    Lee Mfg. 5/8
    CWR
    Barbasol AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Colgate Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #30RS Brush. I did two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shave #27 on the Filly 14 Sub Cero edge test, still motoring along quite well. Soap was Provence Sante Green Tea lathered with a Rooney Beehive, and a splash of Myrsol finished things up.
