Nice setup! That reminds me, I should probably give my injector some love as well, it's been a while :)

Had a few ok shaves with the Jr on Friday and Saturday, but not what I was used to. Changed the blade to a fresh GEM this morning, and I think that was the culprit. I was rewarded with a very smooth and close 3 pass'er. The donut hole is getting bigger in this soap for sure and I'll keep using it on 'Menthol Mondays' until it is done. Siberian Fir Needle is listed as a primary scent (must be way, way different that regular 'ol British Columbia Douglas Firs...) so I thought this Coniferous sample (box checked for daily Stirling product) might be a good combo. Siberian Fir AND Coniferous? I smelled nice leaving the Gulag on my way to building the railway...
Still hoping to get caught up a bit on here, but I may just start with this morning.
    Have a great day, all!

Atlanta is one of those"half back" towns. Yankees try Florida, don't like it, and move half back to where they were from. I get mistaken for being from up north often. I was born 1.1 miles from my home here, but grew up and speak Mid Western Chicagoan.

Awesome shave Jason. You sure are digging those lumberjack scents lately. Is there something we should know? Change of carrers possibly???

Well, I do have a Husqvarna, but it gets used primarily for cutting firewood at the lake...
Coniferous is one of those scents that I'll use for awhile and then it seems to get put towards the back of the den for a chunk of time. No real reason for it. It's probably getting a run now because of Stirling September, and then I remembered I like it.
The Jack Frost is my Monday soap until it is gone. Same with Maximo Gomez on Tuesdays. I'd like to actually see the bottom of a tub for once...

That's a lot of Bay Rum. You have tried it in a smaller bottle?
    Not necessarily...
There's is that, but I was thinking along other lines. With a bit of well placed Enabling Paul might turn a gallon +15 ounces in a multilevel marketing opportunity. Got any empty hot sauce bottles? Check with Charlie @wristwatchb for clearance on any other Good Stink Dealers in your area.

Fuzzy warned me not to blame him if my multiquotes resulted in a lower post count on here. I'm not so sure that is a problem around these parts...yeesh.

Great colours and some great gear, Jim! Great Menthol Monday choices, too.
Another great Menthol Monday combo. Great minds on the GEM jr as well, Terry.
Super write up as usual, Joseph. That's my take on these days too- Sept,Stirling,SE, check check check.
Sounds like a great scent, Perry. Did you attend the meetup?
    Welcome! Love the greens, btw.
I had that cream as well, Clint. I liked the performance, but was just Meh on the scent. Nothing wrong with it, it reminded me of almost a stereotypical British cologne scent.
Great start to the week, Joe!
Well done with the Injector, Gary. Fwiw, the modern Chinese Schicks are not my fave blades to use. PM me if you want a few Personnas to try.
Great description on the scent, Andrew! I take it you just ordered the combo as opposed to attending?
Yup, those artist club blades can bite for sure, Jeff. My worst cuts have been with a pain stick and Feather Pros. Go back to that Vector, you'll get it dialed in.

Thanks, Jason! I wasn't able to attend the meet-up. It was in Memphis and I couldn't make it. Busy time of year around Labor Day.

Welcome @orientshave! Are you joining us for a 30 Day program? If you haven't, view Neal's @NCoxSTL Opening Statement at the beginning of this fast paced conversation. Generally the plan is for either a Rule using the same set up for 30 days, or a Focus adjusting a particular component to evaluate differences. Your gear looks like a great set up. The soap and brand/type of brush are a couple favorites of mine. I've used a few Merkurs but not that one. Quality gear - now to get the best shaves from it! Any issues you are having?
