  9. The famous death ring , donut hole , black hole , whatever you call it the soap seems to last twice as long when it gets at that point.

Early morning shave. Just getting to post.

2 pass DFS. 1st pass was the RA. Cheeks are almost always DFS on the first pass with straights nowadays, it's the neck that requires extra passes or buffing. However, near the end of the first pass, downward swipe above right lip.....blade horizontal, the squared tip also landed/followed on my right cheek. 1 inch+ nice scratch. Sigh. Concentration gone, I managed to finish the upper lip with the RA (gotta get back on that horse), but the second lather and pass was done with the trusty Blackland Dart. It's blade exposure and efficiency had the rest of the shave at a DFS after following the RA. Wholly Kaw along with the Darwin 2 band badger created an awesome Brut clone aroma, and tons of slickery yogurt lather was had. Cold water rinses to help stem the scratch's crimson flow, along with 2 applications of Proraso Styptic Gel finally had it controlled. Followed with the matching WK AS. Fast forward 8 hours later, still catching whiffs of the WK Fougère, and the excellent face 'skin so soft' feel continues (save for that red mark).

All in all, not bad....just bummed as I hadn't made that particular mistake with a straight yet. First time for everything I guess, and now it's marked off the list (ha). Tomorrow's another day!

20 pages behind now.....had a busy work weekend. Maybe I'll play some catch up this evening.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!
  17. Thanks, Joe; I’ve only had one shave with it, and do like it a lot! It’s like night and day when compared to the Occam’s Oren.
