  1. What an awesome pic, Blair. You have definitely graduated from the 'jluc' school of colour matching. A very informative write up as well, but sorry about the scratch. You're making me consider the WK Fougere for sure...
  2. I was down to shaving only once or twice a week. My skin was too sensitive to shave more than that. That was almost two years ago. I shave daily now. It's very rare for me to miss a day. Amazing how much less sensitive my skin got when my technique improved.
Looking forward to seeing your results. I have a feeling you're going to be a daily shaver. Not chasing the baby and knowing when to say when is half the battle.
    Good luck!

  3. Thanks Patrick!

Thanks Jason! I don't have near the brush handle inventory yet to keep up with 'jluc' and his color matching though! Working on it ;)

WK has two Fougères. I have both (just had to being a Fougère fan :happy102::happy097:). They are very similar. Fougère Bouquet and La Fougère Parfaite. The La Fougère, to my nose, is a clone of the current off the shelf Brut. Slightly subdued. The Fougère Bouquet (ever so slightly my favorite) is a powdery Fougère, but much more prominent. It's like ToBS is to sandalwood (barbershop powdery sandalwood). Sweet, strong, and you know it's there.

  5. I could just look at the gear and have a great shave. Love the picture and sorry you hit a few speed bumps.....it will smooth out next go around.

  6. Very Nice Jon, great progress!

Beautiful Jim! I really don't want a DE right now....but your images and that H&S....tempting. I will not be assimilated....

Nice Terry! Can you provide some thoughts/comparisons on the Stirling Barbershop scent? I'm looking.....I have two 'barbershop' (Central Texas Soaps and Sir Hare), but they are a bit unique and/or not slick enough for straights (to me), and trying to find a winner for a daily rotation.

Awesome Joseph. The only shavette I have is the Feather AC. It just rocks with an airy 'lift the lather' technique.

Great setup Perry! Can't wait to get to a meet up/get together some day. It'd be fun to attend one.

Pulled out the 1912 with a new Gem blade for today. Its been calling my name so I gave it some love . Proraso was as great as always and I tend to use the boar with this soap alot. May be because it was part of my 30DC rule and I'm feeling sentimental. So good to see so many new guys doing rules or focuses on here this month. Seems like yesterday I was a newbie also.
  17. Great photo and one of B&M's best soaps.

You're right, it doesn't seem like that long ago I was a Crew newbie.
