  3. cool shaves and pics sir..
  4. Thank you, Gary!
  5. Oh, uh, thanks....just the little push I need:happy102:. It is a gorgeous razor, extremely so.

In all sincerity, I'm probably done for September shopping. Found a vintage Wade & Butcher straight that needs a little love (images, if not doctored, looked promising, price was in line/decent)....looking for a small project as my time opens up later this fall.

And....another kamisori....couldn't resist (in the works, image from yesterday).

  11. Well, a fascinating(for me)discovery during the course of my shave this morning. Chris Columbus may have discovered America, but his discovery pales in comparison to mine. When I got to my neck, I tried going North to South just for kicks, and it actually got rid of some hairs!!! South to North(which I'd done for years)just didn't do much for me. Now you might ask, If I did it that way for years and it wasn't working, why didn't I change directions all those years? I just felt that North to South wouldn't be any better. BOY WAS I WRONG?.

The overall shave itself? Excellent once again, as I returned to the Sandpiper(Stoylin)combo of soap&AS. Great scent. The Candian Horsehair Rubberset(brush)isn't as strong as some others I have, but as I think about it now,. I might have done a better job preparing it for the shave(that is, making it look like the NBC Peacock-music please!!). It did a nice job for me, given all that. Ready to face Tuesday!!
  12. Mine are normally quite tame. Loading the blade wrong is a greenhorn mistake.
    oh well...

  20. 20190909_202136_edited.jpg good morning gents..tuesday shave..went with the sheraton paired with the spoiler combo..was cool enough outside to use the proraso wood and spice without alarming the scent police..after a long while of not using the proraso it lathered easily.the sunburst synthetic and captain's bowl making short work of it..with 2 slick combination passes and some minor pick ups a near bbs shave was the result.this razor/blade combo is fantastically smooth and makes me wonder how many original sheraton owners/buyers used this combo when these blades first came out..maybe a few?i am sure a sheraton would be quite worn out after 25+ years of continual use..with many replacements available..anyhoo, wood and spice cologne to finish, awesome shave..the schick shave lasted quite a while and was smooth to use,but not sheraton/spoiler smooth..more work with the schick to go..maybe try a different blade or 2 if they exist..still reminds me of a pre disposable cart though..flashbacks..;)..
    20190909_202136_edited_edited (1).jpg have a great day everyone..:)
