  1. I see the Marco method as clandestine blooming for the ashamed.

Soap should be in the brush, not running down your pyjamas and coving you, your slippers, the dog....

Jason your inspiration of my conversation may be the diversion to derail my present Frankensoap fascination. Thanks!
Charlie @wristwatchb wanted to work on a portable version. The wrist worn didn't pan out, but we've got a mobile unit in testing! Still having issues with the turn signals...

  6. I thought this was Charlies car. He does not have to back this one up. Just get out and get in the other seat.

Switched out the Jr for this excellent G4 this morning. This razor came from John @Screwtape (anyone heard from John lately?) a few years ago and has held a prominent place in my den since. Today’s Stirling product isn’t software, but rather this quality knot.
Took my time to get a nice lather with this Reserve base. I find it can be a little finicky face lathering it due to the ridiculous volume of water it will take before breaking. As Andrew @Linuxguile says, the lather was flying. If you get one of these Reserve based soaps for the first time, I do recommend taking it to a bowl to see just how much water it will take. Had 3 fine passes and am walking out smelling great. No Husqvarna today.
    Have a great day, all!

    Good morning fellas.
Continuing my experiment to shave daily and I must say, my skin is holding up very well, better than I expected.
Had a very nice and easy 2 pass DFS. I've been using the Gillette 7 '0 clock SS blades and they work so well, that I just ordered a 100 pack.

    Take care everyone!

  19. I don't mind suds running down the sides of the container or even dripping down into the sink. That seems to be unavoidable with some containers given their size.

G3 Gillette Slim on setting 9
    Feather (3)

    Kent BK8 Silvertip
    Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood
Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Clubman & Aramis

I hope you guys are doing well. It's been a fun week of holding babies, getting my first of two Shingles injections, having a fun day yesterday with dear friends, and looking forward to next week's colonoscopy. Yesterday's shingles injection coupled with some food-related abuse kept me up a good part of the night for a few different reasons. I hope to get straightened out today and back on the normal game plan.

I'm wrapping up my time with the Slim. Just two passes and no touch ups today...and everything went according to plan. As of today, I finished up a run with it that consumed a tuck of Feather blades. I'm mostly a 3 and out guy, so that translates to about 30 shaves. Seems like I squeezed one or two more shaves out of a blade every now and then. I kept it wide open the whole time, and it always delivered a nice shave. It's a very nice razor, but it's going back in the rack in favor of another vintage Gillette. The Kent BK8 is another winner, and it goes back in the rack too. I'll continue with my T&H Sandalwood. It is a nice cream, easy to lather, and has a very pleasant scent. I've got a few drops of Clubman left, and it will be gone.

    Have a great day, gentlemen.
