I went and clarified how I am ranking these, this one would fall under the I2v4 designation regardless of how it shaves.

If you want to read the updated posts. I put an explanation in the first post how the ranking works and stays within Appleby's original designations and for the how they shave I redid the post on the shave types to rank them by category which also keeps from running afoul of Appleby's original designations and my updated variant scheme.

No reason they shouldn't especially if they were produced around the same time as the Schick Type L or later injectors.

Sept. 11th -- I decided to go with a 1902'ish Kampfe Bros. The Kampfe Bros had an office on 10 Reade St. in NYC -- that's about 10 blocks from downtown. The brush was an Omega boar lathering modern Williams, and finished with Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel.

For anyone who is interested here are some dates for when some Schick Injector razors were sold. I will formally post the ads on the thread here when I get them reformatted.
    https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-injector-type-i-and-j-reclassification.62682/

    I1v1 and J1v1 are 1957 - 1962

    Iv2 and J1v2 are 1962 - 1964.

I1v3 and J2 are 1964 - 1967, the Type L1 replaces the I1v3 around Christmas time of 1967 and the J2 disappears for good after 1967.

    J3 Schick Golden 500 is 1959 - 1966.

J4 Eversharp Hydro - magic is 1954 to at least 1960 or 1961.

    I2 Hydro magic regardless of variant is 1954 - 1960 or 1961.

    * note it is uncertain if the I2, J4 or both were still being sold in 1961.

Other Schick razors that overlap the I and J razors are the following. I am dating this based upon the ads.

Appleby got these introduction dates correct.

Ladies Eversharp Razor aka the Type K is introduced in 1962

Schick adjustable dial razor is first introduced in 1964

Also of note the Schick Krona DE razor was first introduced in 1965 according to what I could find in the ad record. No mention of this razor earlier than 1965.

Great idea, my Dammy was made across the river in Brooklyn. Williams and the Williams get along great.

BBS has done a beautiful, labor of love, on the Schick I and J series of razors....This cat is taking "no prisoners"...He has crasped the New Injector Librarian position 'by the throat'..

Yo @BBS...you should link or post that over here at the Party too...Just to make it easy to find, years from now.

Looking forward to seeing that collection of ads you have, after you get them reformated.

    Keep up the good work!!

Oh BTW....I noticed these numbers on the bottom of my Hydro-magic intructions...

    Do think they mean anything...M58-70
Could that mean model 1958? But what about the 70...? And actual drawing looks like the I2v1 or v2...I'm probably barking to hear myself bark....lol

    Thur 12th Sept.

    RazoRock syn. 22mm
    Arko grated stick
    Occams V2 /No 3 plate
    Feather Proguard [6]
    Pitralon Original A/S Lotion

Disaster as downstairs Shave area flooded, pipework adrift on Wash Hand basin and I cannot quite reach because of pedestal obstructing access. Relocated Shave upstairs and used Occams rather than the scheduled ER 1924. Quite good results considering that I do not Shave upstairs.

    Cella After Shave Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Cella Crema Da Barba face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Brush. I did two passes with Dad's Schick E3 razor with a Personna Injector Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Stirling Sharp Dressed Man Soap and Aftershave Splash
Magazine Repeating Razor Company “Schick Type A”
    Schick Injector Blade (Yellow Package)

A very interesting shave in the den this morning for the first shave with the “A”. I manually loaded a blade in the head and I have to admit it was a little scary at first when you see the overhang of the blade. I was very surprised the “A” gave a very nice comfortable shave with no weepers or nicks. It does feel a little more aggressive than the modern Schicks but this thing can shave! Two passes and a few touch ups. The alum was a little warm but nothing uncomfortable. I am looking forward to another shave with the “A”.

Finished up with SDM aftershave splash and off to work.

The razor is a little marvel with the thought and engineering that went in to it. I think Col. Jacob Schick nailed it right out of the box with his first razor.

Y'all take care and have a great day.
