I thought I’d create a thread/club for us Real Brut Men. If you’re a fan of Brut in any of its various lines of fragrances both past and present; post your SOTD featuring Brut in some way. I’m a fan of the vintage Brut by Faberge as well as the discontinued Brut Dominant myself.
When I go Brut, I go full Brut. I use the AS, the Splash On, The EdT, and the Deodorant/Antiperspirant. If I could, I would find a NOS Brut Cream and use that too.
One issue with this one.....If I choose "Yes I'm a man who wants to smell manly", it wouldn't be right, as I'm a Brut "Rookie"-haven't used it since probably my teen years. But nothing is TOO manly for me
Here’s tonight’s shave with vintage Faberge Brut, MDC Argumes, Gillette 48-50 Super Speed with Crystal blade and Heritage Collection Shaving replica Ever Ready 200 brush.
I am gonna catch a corner of this one. Love the brut. I have a few different ones. When I am off work I will get a picture of them.
the current stuff..but works .cheap drug store stuff in the early 80s,just like today..but smells fantastic..
This thread inspired me so this morning I showered with Brut bar soap and finished my shave with Brut ASB and then realized I was out of Brut deodorant
I like the Brut bar soap. It may be discontinued though. I bought a case of the bars several years ago. Unfortunately those bars are all gone.
Yeah. When my wife and I were in Royal at Subic Bay my last vacation we found the Brut Bars for sale. We picked a bunch up. We also found Ivory on sale as well to stock up on. Also, Old Spice Sport AS and deodorant. Unfortunately these items and many other products are hard to find there. So, Royal and SNR in the PI is the place to go to load up. We probably spent over one thousand dollars in these stores combined on stock for the house. Hopefully it will last for years.
So...if someone is a fougère fan, how would you preverify a purchase of a vintage Brut that hasn’t been tampered with? That’s one of the hold backs of mine for a vintage liquid purchase. I know you look at seller ratings and reviews....but any other tips for a noob?
