I saw that the Shark blade had become too dull for me to continue using it so I changed it up to a new Gillette and what a difference. The Kudu soap delivered tons of awesome lather along with its beautiful coffee/peppermint scent as well as its strong, delightful menthol sensation and such a great great postshave feeling. At the risk of sounding like a broken record there’s nothing like a nice massage with the Prep, and a couple of splashes of the Alt Innsbruck for a good, icy cold finish which makes you smell beautiful. Three most enjoyable passes and I’m almost as smooth as my wife and daughter!

Stirling Agar today. 20 seconds to load the Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Rapira Platinum Lux still in the Gillette Red Tip Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Agar aftershave.

***EDIT - 2 pass + clean up. BBS. No irritation. 2 days growth wiped out with aggression. No preshave stuff. This soap is right up there with PAA as my favorite. It is impressive. I hear that Dr. Jon's is releasing a new soap formula and that is a bit odd for me since I can't fault the current stuff I've got. I'm sure it will be at least as good, but why mess with perfection? Well, PAA messed with CK5 formula to make CK6, so I suppose I can let it slide, but I just don't see the point. The current Dr. Jon's shave soap is one of the best IMO. Love the results. Comfortable during the shave, never any irritation from the suds. Slickness, stability, glide, protection. There were a few times during the shave that I should have damaged the skin, but the soap seemed to have given the glide needed to protect on those split-second bad angles. I even winced the few times my brain told me the angle momentarily was off and I was going too fast across the skin. No damage. I credit this soap for preventing a few nicks today.
