Back on it today after the break at the weekend.

My skin is much better. I think the break was well warranted. My stubble was like a wire brush. I had forgotten just how course it is.

Plenty of hot water for the pre-shave. i left the face wet whilst i brushed my teeth!
Loads of soap loaded on the brush today and no more lost bristles which is good.
I think i am settling on my preferred passes. 3: down/xtg ear-nose/up. The xtg pass really helps me get the jawline which i find tricky to get really close.

A really nice shave today! No drama, no nicks, no soreness.
Also, as close to a BBS as damn it, and my best result. Quite the thing as this blade is on its 3rd use. If there was one thing holding it back, it would be the poor residual slickness of the soap. This Cade soap is, i find, temperamental. Not enough water and your lather is stiff and blunts the shave. Too much water and slickness goes down the pan and your shave with it. Residual slickness is poor and at times, non existent. Reminds me somewhat of DR Harris in that regard. The razor will "Gaul" on the touch ups if the lather has gone.

Still, a good result. No, a great result. A shave i would be happy with on a daily basis.

    Finished with Mandarin Kolonya.

    2 days left!

Beard reduction with a pass, rather than total elimination. Don't try to get it all on the first pass.

    Stirling SEptember/Menthol Monday

    Good morning!

Just an ok shave to start the day. Went with a two pass with no touch up. Pass two had a lot of direction changes trying to pick up what the skipped pass would have gotten. Seemed like more effort than my usual three passes for just meh result. No blood or irritation just not as close a shave as I normally get. I felt like trying a change. I'm sure I could get better with practice but I'm not really sure I want to. I may or may not do this again tomorrow.

    Have a great week![IMG]

Not sure why I felt the need to eliminate a pass. I'm up and going with plenty of time to do my usual shave.

Just a quick one pass shave today. Not very close, but i decided to give my skin a bit of a break, as i still had some slight irritation from yesterday.
