I only use Glycerine as an additive to certain aftershave splashes. I recommend it that way. Personally, I never really view soap use this way. Any measurement of soap is, imho, just a reason to limit usage. I load the heck out of everything- triple milled puck, artisan soap, croaps, etc and do so unapologetically. I always get functional lathers and in effect remove 'not enough product' as a potential issue inherently.
Didn't have time to shave in the morning, when i got home i decided to take a hot shower and did a two pass shave after that. Results were even better than yesterday, just a little bit of irritation around a mole, did probably too much touch ups there. I hope everyone is doing well
Thanks, Jason! You're right, the Maseto doesn't make it out very often. No good reason why as it's a wonderful brush. I won't typically reach for it when using the scuttle as the bowl is deep and the brush handle is short.
SOTD Stirling SEptember 18th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap RazoRock ECO Crown Super Stainless ½ (2) DS Cosmetics Purple Haze (26mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Noir soap and PSB Second shave with the ECO, really liking it's ability to shave at a super narrow angle. I still get the impression that the blade wants to catch and skip on the first pass unless I use a really fast stroke. I'm not sure if it's the blade or the lightness of the razor. I was planning on switching to a different razor next shave but I think I'll give this one another go and do some experimenting. I'll probably try the crown blade with a heavier SS handle as well as try a top tier sharp blade with the aluminum handle and just see how it feels. Have a great day my friends. Hump day!
