I would give you tips on how to use it but it is possibly as fool proof as soap as one can get. Takes water easily as well. The "Comfort" bit is that it has more cushion to it than the std cream. I would be interested to hear how the others perform in relation to each other.
Blood? What blood? Executive man sure is nice! Thanks Blair! Excellent shave Terry! Awesome photo Jim! How come my gear always looks better in your photos? Beautiful shot Jim! And I think you may have got me on the SP bowl... Fantastic shave and photo Perry! Improvements come in small increments, good job Daniel! Wonderful shot Danny! Too bad the soap didn't perform as well as your photo. Fantastic shave Gary! No drama today! Beautiful shot Mark!
I might rotate them for a month and see which one i like the best. If it lathers as easily as the proraso cream, i won't have much (if any) issues with it.
SEptember AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson 3 "Chubby"~~Feather ACS-RSW~~Super Professional Single Edge... Stirling... I am batting .500, which is pretty decent. I am still laser-focussed on using my creams and today is probably my favorite: Art of Shaving Sandalwood. Yummy. Placed a large dollop into my Aesop SS bowl and built the lather with my CH3. Boom! Lather for days. This is my 3rd CH3 I have owned and it's mos def© my favorite. The properly inserted Feather blade was successful removing the 24 hour growth. Honestly, it's like shaving with a SR, but with BBS results. For those who are familiar with this razor, I just noticed this: Observe the following two pictures and tell me which one represents the correct loading of the blade? Or, does it make no difference? My guess is that the circled notch is to facilitate pushing a new blade out of the container. Anyhoo, great shave and the post shave was outstanding as well.
It was a nice shave, and the Glacial level of menthol in the AS felt good on this muggy morning left behind by Ismelda.
To me, it is a mild but efficient razor. The AC blades are stiff and help with this, and they last a long time. I haven't seen the reviews recently, but for the price point, you do very well with this one.
Thanks, Andrew! I don't think you would be disappointed in the SP bowl. To me it's perfection in shape, size and performance not to mention looks. I put my Captains Choice bowl away and placed the new one in its place on the vanity. Curious to see how long it takes my wife to notice it. I'm sure she will appreciate that there's no clanking while she's trying to sleep in on the weekends. Oh, we're even. You got me on the razor. Killer price for a CNC milled 316L razor.
