I would say that razor has seen better days. I don't think and it would be tricky to hone a profound smiling razor, let alone shave with it! Also, you would need to replace the scales. Personally, I wouldn't put money into it, but that's me.
Bill, nice post and shave! Congrats on getting the GD honed to your liking. Your persistence paid off!

    Razor: Razorock Hawk V2
    Blade: Feather AC Professional Super
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Lather: Stirling For Him

It was a nice shave this morning from the hotel. We are back in the rental house this evening, which will be nice.

My son and I are at a Sugar Land Skeeters game, which is an unaffiliated minor league team. They are managed by Pete Incaviglia, for those that were baseball game in the late 80's and early 90's my son got his autograph, which was kind of cool. It is a good afternoon.

I hope so. Wool isn't an issue for me, not 100% sure about lanolin but i'll just have to try. You too!
    Thank you!

Yeah not going to spend any money on it, even though it has sentimental value.

    September; Glad I didn't claim a Rule/Focus shave

Wholly Kaw Man from Mayfair SS
JR #130 Cypress & Sunrise brush
    Suribachi bowl and cool water
    '46-'47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Russian steel -Voskhod blade
Wholly Kaw Man from Mayfair AS
SOTD 09222019 1st use Wholly Kaw.gif I peeked. Did a little looking to see what Joseph @Primotenore thought about this soap & AS he sent my way. It does check all the boxes for ease of lathering, slip & glide, residual lube for buffing. The Donkey milk formula is if not new to me, one of my few uses of the type. It's good soap! Not being shy about loading product, and taking up a synth knot from Maggard that falls into the "early" category with plenty of backbone, I had no problem whipping up a bowl of shiny fragrant lather. More on the scent shortly. I was reaching for the '59 Fat Boy since I didn't lock in on a particular razor type this month, but the less than perfect 'Crat found my hand. Mechanically sound - it's lost much of the gold wash off the doors. Still gives good shave. Checked the blade, saw Cyrillic and trusted The Cartel to carry the day. Three passes felt great, took two more or so getting the clean up with all that lather still in the bowl. Rinsed, blotted dry, and applied AS. Yeow! Could have been the extra passes, possibly too much pressure, or there's something in the AS that gave a better than average alcohol burn. I checked the ingredients for new-to-me details. Nothing out of the ordinary. The Barbershop scent description covers a wide range of products by many makers. I'd call this one on the sharper side, less powdery. The sandalwood comes through well. I can see why Madam Primo had her opinion. This is not Pinaud Clubman, but it's worthy of trying again.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Please be in prayer for my family. Mom passed away this morning and we are out the door to tell dad at the nursing home. I'll jump back in as time allows and I appreciate your prayers and thoughts in advance.

...or use unrefined shea butter in your post shave routine. It's a great moisturizer, and "skin care" is then no longer a consideration with any of your other shave products. I use USB year-round, but I find it particularly beneficial on my face and hands in the winter.
