I might have to stick with what is basically the finnish equivalent of machete, the leuku. Exept that i don't own one.
Sept 22 Good afternoon guys! Gillette Fatboy E2 (9) Rockwell DE (1) Omega Brush 10049 VDH Luxury and Williams Frankensoap Pinaud Clubman AS Nivea Men's ASB (not pictured) I was inspired by @Primotenore, Joseph's pic of overflowing lather on his brush. I used my shaving mug to get the same yogurty abundance on my brush. I just wetted my tips on th3 soap and beat it like I was very angry. Lol! It also helps that the frankensoap was soft and that there is very little left in the mug. I applied the voluminous lather without adding any more water and I had enough for more than 3 passes and than some. I put a new blade in to start this 3 shave cycle. I got a nice, comfortable smooth shave. The Clubman AS and the Nivea ASB was the ultimate finale! Have a great afternoon fellas!
As somebody who suffers with skin issues, may i suggest a few things: A) Diet. I know this sound nuts but diet has a huge impact on skin condition. Since i have begun to avoid dairy and wheat products (i still have the odd lapse lol) i have noticed a difference in my skin and in my health in general. B) Soaps and cosmetics. Like dairy and wheat, i now try to avoid cosmetics and soaps as much as possible. I only use bar soap (aleppo) on my darker bits and as little as possible. I don't use shampoo anymore. I don't use chemical deoderants, toothpastes, moisturisers, etc. I don't smell worse for it. Strong Cologne i use on my collar and behind my ears only. I had a brief sojurn with shaving oils but i broke out in spots. It seems i can tolerate shaving soaps somewhat but my last puck (Cade) gave me a rash. Using a soap pre-shave also gives me problems. I am learning that i am sensitive to some products but its challenging to figure out which and to what extent. I look at the ingredients of shaving products carefully. If you suffer from bad skin anyway, look at your diet and your cosmetic product use. Try cutging down. You may be surprised at the results.
I am familiar with the Skeeter because they are in the same league as the Long Island Ducks! Oh, great shave and nice pic of you and your son.
Thank you, Daniel! I like the vintage Gillette razors! Unfortunately, I am a few years older than this razor. Lol!
Oh wow, Danny. That's a tough one, maybe the toughest thing you ever have to do. Good luck, hope you, your father, and the rest of the family can keep it together. You have my sincere condolences. tp
Danny, I am so sorry about your mom's passing. I will pray for you and your family. Take care my friend.
