I peeked. Did a little looking to see what Joseph
@Primotenore thought about this soap & AS he sent my way. It does check all the boxes for ease of lathering, slip & glide, residual lube for buffing. The Donkey milk formula is if not new to me, one of my few uses of the type. It's good soap! Not being shy about loading product, and taking up a synth knot from Maggard that falls into the "early" category with plenty of backbone, I had no problem whipping up a bowl of shiny fragrant lather. More on the scent shortly. I was reaching for the '59 Fat Boy since I didn't lock in on a particular razor type this month, but the less than perfect 'Crat found my hand. Mechanically sound - it's lost much of the gold wash off the doors. Still gives good shave. Checked the blade, saw Cyrillic and trusted The Cartel to carry the day. Three passes felt great, took two more or so getting the clean up with all that lather still in the bowl. Rinsed, blotted dry, and applied AS. Yeow! Could have been the extra passes, possibly too much pressure, or there's something in the AS that gave a better than average alcohol burn. I checked
the ingredients for new-to-me details. Nothing out of the ordinary. The Barbershop scent description covers a wide range of products by many makers. I'd call this one on the sharper side, less powdery. The sandalwood comes through well. I can see why Madam Primo had
her opinion. This is not Pinaud Clubman, but it's worthy of trying again.
Good Shaves Y'all!
