Wonderful photo, Clint! Congrats on being excused from jury duty. That's a major win! I look forward to the reveal of the soap from you and Joseph.

You'll get there on your shaves, Daniel. :) It took me a while, including a six month run using a Feather Artist Club shavette, to get consistently great shaves. The shavette finally cured me of my bad habits of using too much pressure and failing to stretch my skin adequately. (These shavettes are called Pain Sticks for a reason.) Now I can shave with any razor. You're making great progress. Hang in there!

    Proraso PS - Red
Proraso Single Blade SC - Wood & Spice
    Hoshi Tombo 8000
    Jayaruh #288
Art of Shaving - Sandalwood & Cypress Cologne Intense

3 pass DFS+. Hadn't used the Jayaruh Oak #288 in quite some time. Thought it would be a good match for the Proraso Single Blade SC....and it definitely was. The Proraso PS and Single Blade SC mix....just slickery slick shaving lather goodness. The Hoshi Tombo 8000 made 3 buttery smooth and effortless passes for a DFS+. No nicks or shenanigans. The Wood & Spice version of the Proraso SC has a very woodsy/peppery fragrance, so I followed it with a similar fragrance (to my nose), the AoS Sandalwood & Cypress.

Last night, the HT 8000 saw a new progression of maintenance recommended by Derek, owner of J3Customs, a current Straight and Kamisori bladesmith artisan. Started with a ceramic Shapton 12k, then onto a pasted strop progression (14k, 50k, 100k), and finished with an Ezra Arthur Bridle Linen & Leather strop. Hard to see in the image (better next time), but the honed edge is a mirror, matching the blade itself.

Busy day today....Dad has 2 doctor visits, so between that and taxi duty for the girls....I'll be checking in as I can.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Thank you guys. The last time I was called up for jury duty, I ended up being on a murder trial. So I was really excited about being excused today.

As September draws to a close, my two-month weight trend (blue line is the target; red line is the trend) looks reasonable. I even survived a bad day after a Man vs. Food experience. Man won ;).

I have Habit Rouge Charlie. The scent description and comments were fairly accurate. I think of it as a very sophisticated barbershop type scent. I find it works well without being overpowering. I don't have any first hand knowledge of the other choice. The description and comments do make it sound nice.
