I went on a shopping spree this morning and picked up some items for two friends that are new to traditional shaving. I also picked up a puck of Executive Man and some bath soap for myself while I was in the neighborhood. I decided to gift a Post War Tech to one friend and a cased birth year Fat Boy to another. I'd rather share the love than have a bunch of razors that are not being used. Plus, I just enjoy hearing grown men scream as they unsuspectingly and wildly fall into a rabbit hole.

My first vintage Gillette (a Slim) and blade sampler came as a PIF from a very kind gent here on TSD. Since then, many guys here have been very kind in this way to me.

I've only screamed once while falling into a rabbit hole....and I am a grown man. That was when I blew my NB 18 with that crummy soap from the outgoing company. If that wasn't bad enough, I enabled @Primotenore to get the same thing. I was mad at the soap and @Primotenore at ME. (Well, he forgave me, but I haven't forgiven muhself. I should have ordered Fields&Streams, which I had just finished and loved, but I ordered Tobacco&Leather, not knowing it was "Ash Tray" Tobacco, ehich greatly overpowered the leather. I made up for that error with my recent purchase of Weekend Rodeo(Central Texas Soaps). As you might guess--ALL LEATHA, BABY

I finally know how you lost the weight Charlie! The more money you spend on shaving accessories, the less you spend on ice cream! Lol!

Dont know what his better half is thinking but my neighbors probably think the same thing when I take pics of my shave gear out on the deck. My better half seen my passion for shaving evolve from the day I tossed out my disposable razors and canned goo to now where I get excited to shave . She says I'm more relaxed and she doesn't hear cursing from the bathroom anymore. Win win.

Well, I thought it might be OK, with the reduced humidity here..I mean, it IS...but you're right. I expect to be using it most as it gets colder.

You got it, Joe. One of my friends is also my family Doc and a brother in Christ. He has helped and encouraged me on my journey to better health. He and I are the same age. He lost his Dad as a very young man, but he remembers him shaving with a Fat Boy. It will please me to no end to see him have and use a birth year FB.
