  1. Thanks Clint! I have enjoyed using all my safeties this month, but I am looking forward to shaving with my straights next month.

Three passes didn't even make a dent in all the lather I made.

  6. I wanted to say that you went overboard with the lather! It looked like you had enough for 10 passes!

  7. Are you guys serious about the MWF usage in October? I was thinking of Oleo October and trying to make a dent in Oleo New City, but if we have buy-in for The Fat October then I'll be in. @Primotenore @Linuxguile @BlueShaver and some others....are y'all still in?
  8. Fantastic, Joe! I couldn't help but notice there are way more girls than guys at the dinner table. ;)

  10. Thanks Charlie! I went to the gym twice today and forgot to bring my phone so that I can take a picture for a comparison. I will try to remember when I go tomorrow! However, you have my real face as my avatar to compare the difference.

  20. Your first picture I had me a bit worried. I never should’ve doubted your genius or the German engineering behind it, Patrick! That thing is gorgeous!

    My thoughts exactly, Charlie.

I don’t want to get anyone riled up, but I do want to pass along my experience here FWIW.
A few years ago, @Bama Samurai wrote a comment similar to this to me. Although I didn’t push back on it, I was absolutely convinced he was mistaken, and felt the majority of “internet research“ and posts I’d seen from others lined up with my personal (albeit somewhat limited) experience, and couldn’t possibly be wrong. Now, a few years later, I’m 1000% convinced that he was right. Weepers, blade feel, irritation and anything else that makes a shave less than perfect can all be overcome by technique and experience. I know, because I’ve done it, as have most of the veterans here. The Yogi Berra quote in my signature kinda sums up my thoughts on this.

Welcome Mike! Looking forward to your posts.
